Manufacturing Process
The formation of ERW pipes begins with mild steel strips being shaped, formed, and welded using high-frequency ERW technology, which creates a strong and uniform seam. Following this, the pipes undergo thorough surface preparation through cleaning, degreasing, acid pickling, and rinsing to ensure a perfectly clean steel surface before galvanizing. A subsequent flux treatment is then applied to improve zinc adhesion. The core protective step is hot-dip galvanizing, where the pipes are immersed in a molten zinc bath at approximately 450°C, forming multiple zinc-iron alloy layers that give GI ERW pipes their signature corrosion-resistant properties. Finally, in the cooling and finishing stage, the pipes are cooled, meticulously inspected, and supplied in standard lengths with a uniform, long-lasting zinc coating. This comprehensive, multi-stage process ensures that all resulting pipes qualify as high-performance galvanized ERW steel pipes.
