Manufacturing Process
SS Seamless Pipes are produced using high-quality stainless steel billets that undergo a multi-stage forming and finishing process. The manufacturing begins with billet heating, where solid steel billets are raised to high temperatures to achieve plasticity. These hot billets are then pierced using a rotary or hydraulic piercing mill, creating a hollow tube without any welded joint. In the next phase, the hollow shell undergoes elongation and sizing through mandrel mills or plug mills to achieve accurate thickness and diameter. For higher precision, the pipes are further processed using the cold-drawing method, where the hot-formed tube is drawn at room temperature through dies to achieve superior dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and mechanical strength. Once sizing is complete, the pipes are heat-treated (annealed) to restore ductility and enhance corrosion resistance. Finally, the pipes undergo pickling or polishing, straightening, and a detailed inspection before being delivered as premium-quality stainless steel seamless pipes suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature applications.
